NCC Electrophysiology’s Cynapse IONM Received the 2025 MEI Awards Product Award

Recognizing innovation in medical-device design and manufacturing

We are pleased to announce that our Cynapse IONM intraoperative nerve stimulation monitoring system received the Product Award – Manufacturing Excellence Award at the 2025 China Manufacturing Excellence (MEI) Awards.

The award recognized the product’s innovative design and manufacturing quality, and represented an important milestone in our continued development of professional electrophysiology equipment and medical-device solutions.

A Recognized Platform for Chinese Manufacturing Innovation

The China Manufacturing Excellence Awards have been held for 15 consecutive years. The 2025 selection received 8,540 product entries, the highest number recorded for the event at the time. Experts from industrial design, manufacturing and procurement evaluated the entries across design innovation, manufacturing processes and user experience.

Our Cynapse IONM system stood out among the participating products and received recognition from the professional judging panel.

Cynapse IONM: Multimodal Intraoperative Monitoring

Cynapse IONM was developed to support real-time monitoring of neurophysiological signals during surgery. The system featured a 32+256-channel configuration and supported multiple monitoring modes, including:

• Electroencephalography (EEG)
• Brainstem auditory evoked potentials (BAEP)
• Motor evoked potentials (MEP)
• Visual evoked potentials (VEP)
• Free-run electromyography (Free EMG)
• Triggered electromyography (Trigger EMG)
• Train-of-four (TOF) monitoring

The system also featured dedicated smart EEG and EMG electrodes with plug-and-play operation and automatic identification, helping support efficient setup and multimodal intraoperative monitoring.

Cynapse IONM was included in the Shanghai Innovative Medical Device Catalogue, received support under the 2023 Shanghai High-Quality Development Project and was selected for the 2024 Shanghai Application Demonstration Project. The system was also used in demonstration applications at multiple tertiary hospitals in China.

From Professional Innovation to Global Opportunities

Following the award, we received authorization to use the MEI Awards mark and gained opportunities to participate in overseas direct procurement events and global product launch activities organized by the China Manufacturing Excellence Awards committee.

This recognition helped us introduce our electrophysiology technologies and medical-device manufacturing capabilities to a wider international audience. It also supported our efforts to expand global cooperation and share the quality and innovation of Chinese medical-device manufacturing.

Continuing Our Focus on Electrophysiology

For 28 years, we have focused on electrophysiology technology development and product research. Guided by our value of “Commitment, Sincerity and Collaboration,” we have continued to develop high-end electrophysiology equipment with independent intellectual property rights.

We developed China’s first intraoperative nerve stimulation monitoring system specifically designed for orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures, contributing to domestic alternatives in a field historically reliant on imported equipment. We have continued to strengthen collaboration with clinical partners and advance the application of intraoperative electrophysiology technologies.

As a national-level Specialized and Sophisticated “Little Giant” enterprise recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, we have built an integrated innovation and manufacturing system covering core technology development and key component production. Our medical-consumables subsidiary, Shanghai Yingshou Medical Devices Co., Ltd., was also recognized as a Shanghai Specialized and Sophisticated “Little Giant” enterprise, strengthening our capabilities in coordinated innovation across equipment and consumables.

Our independently developed intraoperative nerve stimulation monitoring system and 256-channel event-related potential digital EEG system for auxiliary cognitive assessment were both included in the Shanghai Innovative Medical Device Catalogue. This recognition reflected the products’ technical innovation, clinical demand and quality development.

We will continue to focus on innovation in electrophysiology equipment, precision manufacturing and clinical collaboration. Through ongoing research, product development and industry–clinical cooperation, we will continue to advance intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring and contribute to the development of high-quality medical-device manufacturing in China.
