[NCC Academy | Industry-Academia Collaboration]
On the afternoon of November 27, a significant milestone was reached in industry-academia collaboration with the grand unveiling of the "Medical Artificial Intelligence Practical Education Base" at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST). This base is a joint initiative between the USST School of Health Science and Engineering (SHSE) and NCC ACADEMY, representing a deep commitment to integrating education and industry for nurturing innovative talent in medical AI.

Deepening Industry-Academia Integration
The ceremony was attended by key representatives from both the university and the industry partner. From USST SHSE, attendees included He Hong, Head of the Department of Medical Artificial Intelligence, along with faculty members Li Xiaobing (Head of Medical Ultrasound Technology) and Chen Zhaoxue (Head of Medical Imaging Technology), and student representatives.
The industry partner, NCC ACADEMY, was represented by Ms Han Bei (Dean of NCC ACADEMY), Mr. Wen ( Corpoarte mentor for Software ), Xu Yueyan (HR Director ),Corporate mentors Mr. Kang and Mr. Duan.
Ms. He Hong emphasized the base's crucial role in breaking down disciplinary barriers and promoting the integration of medicine and engineering. She noted that the collaboration aims to embed cutting-edge industry demands into the curriculum, effectively enhancing students' innovative practical abilities and engineering literacy. This initiative is vital for cultivating high-caliber, compound talents urgently needed for national strategy and industry development.
Ms. Han reiterated NCC ACADEMY’s core principle of "real cases, real practice, and deep industry-academia integration." The academy will utilize the company's authentic R&D projects and actual market demands as the central teaching vehicles, ensuring a win-win outcome for university talent development and enterprise innovation.
The joint unveiling marked the commencement of a substantial phase in collaboration for medical AI talent cultivation.

Sharing Industry Expertise
Following the ceremony, corporate mentors delivered insightful technical lectures to the faculty and students, showcasing the practical focus of the NCC ACADEMY.
Mr. Wen detailed the "Industrialization Process and Strategy for Auxiliary Diagnostic Equipment Containing Software or AI Algorithms," providing a systematic overview of the entire chain from concept to market launch for intelligent auxiliary diagnostic devices.
Mr. Kang provided an accessible yet in-depth presentation on "EMC Design for Grounding, Floating Ground, and Isolation in PCBs," using vivid engineering examples to illustrate the importance of these techniques in ensuring the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and patient safety of medical devices.
Mr. Duan shared the "Productization Process from R&D to Prototype," explaining how to efficiently transform a technical idea into a fully functional prototype.
The high relevance of the lectures to industry frontiers underscored NCC ACADEMY’s commitment to cultivating practical, highly-skilled talents, greatly benefiting the attendees. The establishment of the Medical Artificial Intelligence Practical Education Base is a critical step in translating the concept of collaborative education into practice, bridging the "last mile" between talent cultivation and industry demand.
In the future, USST SHSE's Medical AI Department and NCC ACADEMY will leverage the Practice Base and the NCC platform to establish an innovative closed-loop system encompassing joint research projects and achievement commercialization, continually injecting new momentum into the industry through profound industry-academia integration.
