“Don’t waste your youth; the future is promising.”
Zhu Wenting joined NCC Medical immediately after graduating in rehabilitation. Born in 1997 — the same year NCC was founded — she often reflects humorously that she has accumulated “26 years of technical experience” alongside the company’s nearly three decades of innovation.
Wenting began her journey working on pelvic floor rehabilitation products, gradually expanding to biofeedback systems, surface EMG, and balance training devices. Her interest in intraoperative neurophysiology was sparked in July 2022, when Dr. Minghui, NCC’s IONM service lead, delivered a training session. Fascinated by the challenge and clinical impact of IONM, Wenting attended every online course and hands-on training session, developing both technical knowledge and practical skills.
As NCC’s surgical products matured and the market expanded in 2023, Wenting was given the opportunity to assist senior experts in live surgeries. She gained practical experience in needle insertion, electrode placement, equipment setup, and learned how to communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team — essential skills for any clinical specialist.
Her first independent monitoring assignment at Zhejiang First Hospital was both challenging and rewarding. Despite last-minute preparation issues and operating room pressures, she successfully completed her first session, earning positive feedback from surgeons and nurses. This experience strengthened her confidence, resilience, and professionalism.
Wenting also faced high-pressure, last-minute procedures, such as auditory nerve monitoring, where she stayed late with colleagues to review templates, operational steps, and waveform generation. She credits mentors such as Dr. Fu Huabin, Xu Tian, Dr. Minghui, and Zhang Chi, as well as the R&D team, for their guidance, support, and collaborative spirit.
“I am grateful to learn from such experienced leaders. Their mentorship makes every challenge an opportunity to grow and excel.”
By the end of 2024, Wenting’s dedication and expertise earned her a recommendation to work at Huashan Hospital, one of China’s top teaching hospitals, as a clinical neurophysiology specialist. There, she continues to apply her skills in intraoperative monitoring, contributing directly to patient safety and surgical excellence — a milestone that marks the next chapter in her professional journey.
“Every successful surgery reminds me why I chose this career — our work truly safeguards neural function and impacts lives. At NCC, we don’t just provide equipment; we provide confidence, precision, and peace of mind.”
